Figure drawing

Close to two decades ago, I was a fine arts major at an art high school in New York City. One of my all-time favorite classes was human anatomy drawing. I loved the quick timed sketches, the challenge of not using an eraser, and, most importantly, capturing a certain mood through line work and shading techniques.  

I always felt a connection to drawing, but amid the busyness of daily life, I slowly disconnected from it. At the end of 2024, I decided to pick up a piece of charcoal and now consistently attend a local human anatomy drawing workshop. I love it so much and am looking forward to improving my drawing skills from where I left off.
